About

The Midwest Musuem of Natural History (MMNH) is a unique museum that features a world-class collection of mounted animals from around the world in its permanent exhibit hall, including one of the few mounted African elephants in the United States. It is our vision to connect the community to the natural world. The MMNH offers public programs, field trips, home-school classes, scout programs, overnights, lectures, adult tours, events, facility rentals, volunteer and internship opportunities, birthday parties, memberships, gift shop, and off-site presentations. We have incredible dioramas featuring over 100 mounted animals from North America and Africa, including the largest African elephant in the United States! Come see our live animals, including snakes, lizards, turtles, and insects.
